    I just received this. As long as I been playing with coins I can't say I ever remember seeing these two fields on a PCGS label before and I don't know what this information is. Please cypher;
    Series: 43
    Coin: 30

    No one did which is why they finally got rid of them.

    And Pottydollar showed the generation before yours. Yours is from the 2002 - 2005 period. Feb 2002 to Nov 2005 by my observation.

    They "got rid of them" on the labels, but they didn't scrap the coin series and numbers completely, did they...? I really don't know. Last time I submitted anything to them, the submitter was required to research and list these numbers on the form(s) for each coin submitted. Are they still requiring that on submissions...? Thx.

    Nice coin in your holder example. I actually prefer this holder label of solid sky blue over the current two-tone blue label...darker at top to lighter at bottom...makes the upper font harder to see, black on darker blue.

    Nobody found it useful. I'm surprised it took so long for them to do away with it. It muddied up the label with no benefit.

    No they didn't scrap them completely and I think they still use them internally. And you don't have to track the numbers down for your submissions, they will accept them without the numbers. If you do a search on the PCGS website there is still a page that lists them.

    I'm glad they did away with that useless information but I sure like your coin! :)
