With better pictures it might grade higher, but from those pics I see XF at best. That's $25 in the 2008 35th Ed. SCWC, which is probably a little low on British TDs, so I might go a bit higher if I were in the market.

With 2-1/2+ days to go, the current bid plus shipping to the US looks like a pretty good deal, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some last minute bidding drive the final price up.

    Always liked this design.
I had one once, but it's long gone now.

No opinion on grade or value.

    Hello Dave,

The 1912B has a mintage of 5,672,000 and a value of $25 in EF according to the Krause catalog. The Krause catalog price is $60 in UNC. IMO the coin as depicted looks completely lack-luster EF. It could just be the photo but it looks plain. If you spend more than $30, then you should be able to find an example with more luster. For $60 to $90 you should be able to get a raw MS63. If I'm not mistaken, slabbed MS63s are going for about $110 and slabbed MS64s go for $200. These prices are from my recent memory. You could check Teletrade and David Lawrence auction archives for more accurate numbers.

    Very best regards,
    collect89

P.S. The mint mark on some dates is supposed to be at the trident. I have not seen a mint mark there but I only have one of these trade dollars.

P.P.S. It is probably worth every bit of $25 - $30. If you spend more than $30, then you can probably find an example with more luster.

Good advice , but you want a coin that fits your collection if most of your coins are EF this coin is fine if most of your coins are MS , I'd spend a little more , but as you know it's up to you , and that's still a nice coin .

    Maybe, maybe not.

It is really the back bidder who sets the price. Don't forget that the winner gets an item for one bidding unit over the back bidder's offer, no matter how much higher the bid.

I have won items for much below my max bid, and in live auctions I have won items with bids as much as $100 below the maximum I was willing to go.
