Hey guys, I have been out of the mix for some time now, lots of personal things going on, including a big move. Now that I am settled, I'm looking to get back into the swing of things. This afternoon I started a new hobby to go along with my collection hobby, a website showing my collection. Its very rough right now, and is going to be constantly updated.

Its very much in its infant stage, but please take a look around and tell me what you guys think. Any criticism is good criticism in my books, so tell me the truth!

Josh - I really like the clean layout. One day I'm going to have my own site (first I have to figure out how to do it).

It seems your pics have too much yellow? Perhaps it is your lighting. In any case, I think what you've started is fantastic.

Like the layout my man ;) Color tone is very soothing, and very calm... Being that way, it is easy to look at, and makes you want to stay longer. :)
I too have a site of my own, which not only showcases my collection, but also has my web store, and helpful numismatic resources. (Just some hints on some things you may want to add)

Great coins, and awesome shots. A few hot spots, but nice regardless.

    VERY nice!
A LOT more professional than the one I did for my type set.

Did you write your own code (XHTML)?
Or did you use a website builder (Dreamscape)?

Nice photos and nice coins. However, my criticism is not to have a web site advertising something of value. I'm just in a area of really high crime rates and have learned not to ever show off or display anything of value. I realize that many think a web site is safe but way to many know how to find and or follow a trial to the origin. In my area way to many home invasions.
I really wonder just how many robberies are originated by what some really sharp criminals see on the internet.

My thoughts exactly. Even if you keep your coins offsite, how is a crook to know that until after he has been in the house. It's great to be proud of what you have but to flaunt it openly, might not be the best idea given the current economic situation.

PS. If you don't like this advice, at least take some precautions.

Don't use your real name in the link address or the website name.
Don't post the city where you live on this site or any other.

I understand completely. I'll make sure to change a few things to keep myself somewhat anonymous
