I tried that last night and saw news about people I wasn’t following, as far as I can recall. Which confused me, and is why I didn’t point that feed out.
That’s what I was talking about. I saw people I do not follow in that feed, which confused me. Or maybe I was confused to begin with. I’ll have to go look at it again. Maybe I clicked the feed for people who follow me, instead. Clicked on one, thinking I was clicking on the other. I have chronic fat-finger mobile phone syndrome.
When I try to post in certain forums/threads there is sometimes a warning saying I have Insufficient Privileges to post. Conversely, you probably have a Preponderance of Privileges.
Welllllllll - we do expend no end of effort to try and keep him "confused". Always seems like he's happier that way But shhhh - don't tell anybody. Why next thing ya know they'll want in on it too
Indeed, a serious, helpful answer for me, also...thanks to mod. GDJMSP. I have another question...as a tech dummy and newer member still figuring things out (in other words, still lost on certain functions, if getting there slowly): when repeat threads are re-posted within a day or two, or maybe a week, a month, or a year(s) later, what is that telling the readers/members...? Is it nothing more than additional post(s) have been added, or new information somewhere, or...? Assuming if anything new was added it would be at the very beginning of the first page, or at the very end of the last page...? If not, how do you find the new info or post/reply without reading all the posts on all the pages again...? Everything looks the same to me...but then why would the thread be re-posted days or a week/month or so later if there wasn't something new somewhere...? Thx for any additional help...I'm not the only one wondering on this one.
Hey, they're "participation" Trophy Points. We all get them! I like the early one's, you know, with the seam down the back of the leg...oh wait, that's something different...
I am vewy pweased you understood I was joking around, especially since i did not type "this is a joke" at the bottom. I think you were a victim of robot spell check.
To start with Mac every time there is a new post in a thread, by default the forum software moves that thread to the top of the list for that forum section. Say we're talking about Coin Chat, the forum section we're in right now. As soon as I click on the the Post Reply button, my post is going to make this thread jump to the top of the list in the Coin Chat section. Then as soon as there is another post in any Coin Chat thread, the thread will move to the top, and so and so on. In other words, the most recently posted in thread is always at the top of the list that members see. But there's more to it than that Mac, then there are the Thread Display Options - and you yourself are the one (each member is really) who gets to determine how you see things. And the way you do that is pretty easy but some folks don't think about it, they just go with the software's default settings. To change or customize those settings start in the Index Page. This is the Index Page - And if ya scroll down a bit this is what ya see - The list on the Index Page shows you all the different forum sections. To change the display settings you can pick any section you want, but lets say I wanna use Coin Chat so I click on that link. Once that page opens you need to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. When you do this is what you'll see - Now ya see in the middle there, at the bottom, where it says Thread Display Options - you click on that and you'll see this - Those little boxes and choices give you, (and any other member), the ability to change how you see things, how things will appear on your screen. By clicking on each drop down arrow you are given choices to select how you want to sort threads and order threads. Once you've made your choices click on the Set Options button and you're all set. Things will now appear on your screen just the way you want them to. All there is to it.
When I go through my list of members I follow I see many who are no longer around.. I wonder whatever happened to @BoonTheGoon ? He was a young kid that liked to collect gas masks.
