I went 64...looks to be frosty and lustrous, which I think helped offset the hits on the cheek and Eagle
The reverse looks gem to me, but the hits on the obverse are right in the focal area and the overall mushiness of the obverse strike also prevents a gem grade. I say MS64.
A nice common date BU coin. I have it in the 62-63 range but those marks are deep on the cheek but she drips with frost and luster. MS63
I think the chatter, especially on the face, and apparent shelf wear, would drag down the grade as it is a distraction, so I'm with MS62.
It was the luster which sold me on it. That, and the fact that it’s in a pre-prong-era NGC holder. (I have an irrational aversion to NGC’s white prongs.) Spoiler: Click here when you’re ready to see the slab.
