Ok , I saw this coin and fell in love ...it became a had to have ......so grades anyone? Likes /dislikes? Oh it has been graded by a TPG. Paddy
I definitly never saw one toned like that , I like it for the odd colors , looks like it fell into the tomato soup I had for lunch :eating: coooooooool.
It sure is purrrty :thumb: For some reason that year tones that golden color a lot. I've often wondered if it was due to some early album. As to grade, tough call with that toning. I can't tell if I'm seeing slight rub or just toning.
Just knew when I saw those red copper tones and the rainbow tones on the rev. over the buffalo I had to have it!
The coin is very attractive but not the most beautiful I have ever seen. Anaconda had this for sale some years ago. And Leadfoot has a satin proof that is to die for.
I seldom take stabs at grading off of pics, but since this one is such a beauty I will go out on a limb this once. MS66 is my best pressumption. That is one of the finest toned coins I've ever seen on this forum.
Well, first of all, I like it because it is rather unique -- I collect Buffalo's and don't have any toners that color. Guess on grade is diffficult for two reasons: 1. toning is hard to distinguish from possible wear; and 2. toning makes luster hard to judge. If there is wear, then AU58. If not, I am going to guess MS65 -- it looks fairly mark-free and has an excellent strike (not too hard to find with 1916's). Luster might be limiting. Regardless, you have a winner.:hail:
