Hello, first thread. My coin collection primarily consists of Lincoln "wheat" cents ranging from early 1900s to modern coins. I'm new at this and was wondering if the "Liberty" on this coin was MD or DD. Ive compared it to several other 1969-s i have and this one seems to stand out the most to me.
Sorry but I can't tell anything from the photo you posted. If you can take good, clear, photos of LIBERTY and post them, you might get an answer. Welcome to CT BTW.
First, welcome to the neighborhood! Like @potty dollar 1878 said, it looks like machine doubling to me, too. Machine doubling is sometimes called mechanical doubling or strike doubling or ejection doubling. All mean the same thing. There is also die deterioration doubling which is slightly different because it comes about from dies that are beginning to wear out.
