Fulda 1788 20 kreuzer. issued upon the death of the Prince-Bishop Heinrich VIII von Bibra. This was amongst the last coinage of Fulda before it was secularized in 1803.

Alexander III poltinnik (50 Kopeks). I was happy to get this coin as they are much scarcer than Nicholas II issues, or previous issues for that matter. I’m not sure exactly why.

Easiest way is just to drag the picture file into the message area. You will then have the choice of including it just as a thumbnail or a full size image - I think most people prefer the full size.

A 1808 Spanish Ferdinand VII 8 reales from the Seville mint - one of the last main mints to fall to Napoleon in January 1810. As full dates runs of any Ferdinand VII coinage is basically impossible this counts as the 8R in a really simple denomination set of 1/2R, 1R, 2R, 4R and 8R and now I am just missing one :D

OK ... This is an "AZTEC" coin made in and shipped from "CHINA". That makes it a "World Coin" right?

Bought a lot of Franklin Mint coins because I thought this was a circulated cu-ni piece. Paid about 1.5x face value for the full lot. Turns out it's a heavily impaired silver proof.

The rest of the lot was impaired Barbados proofs:

Picked up this one last week - a fairly standard 1775 contemporary counterfeit but with surprisingly good detail.
The blob on the left of the obverse seems to be something melted onto the coin rather than verdigris. I have tried various solvents and heating to around 100C without shifting any of it!

A 1812 3 centisimi from the Milan mint of Napoleonic Italy. Coppers of this period seem quite difficult to find in good grade so I am very happy with this :D, the remaining lustre doesn't show up on the scan!

I got this 1890 Italian Eritrea 1 lira from a forum member. It nicely fills a hole for a colony I didn't have in my collection. 1890 eritrea 1 lira.jpg

To follow from the previous post a 1884R Italy Umberto I gold 20 Lire - not my usual collecting area but given it is the key date in the series and it was going to go for a good price I just couldn't leave it there!
