It is both scruffy and spotty (milk spots), especially on the obverse. I don't see any friction in the fields that would cause it to grade AU, and I don't see anything too egregious that would make it a problem coin. Not sure what that brown line is on the reverse between the rays, but if that is a scratch it might be BU Details.

That was an error. You may give an opinion of 62 if you want.

The slab has a few light scratches. I have not polished it yet, as it is a recent arrival. It is also dirty.

I have a few that need this. What should I use? I don't want to make it worse by mistake.

I use a steamer on the slab first, to get the grime off of it. Then, I use auto polishing compound.

61, baggy, spotty, weak strike to me but I am no Peace Dollar expert.

MS62. It’s the 3 as opposed to the 4 rays variety (...just telling a Morgan man, in case he didn’t know :)); both varieties equal in value, it’s just some collectors like to collect both.

The reverse lower section is either worn or a very weak strike. Looks worn to me.

I've never been a fan of the Peace dollar obverse, but would tend to agree with @Lehigh96 s assessment.

I saw that too. I was wondering how that area could take that degree of wear (and most especially over leg which almost looks obliterated) while the higher areas on the reverse are as relatively distinct as they are. But noted, that is unusually flat in that lower half.

I was thinking low MS...saw there was no 62 so went with MS 61....same reasoning as @Lehigh96

Weakly struck coin, altogether. Remember, this was 1935. Dies were well exhausted by that time.

I think much of the problems this coin has is dirty slab related.

    I went 63
