Has seen better days...but what a find!

Stepped off the curb last night in a dimly lit parking lot to find this 1911 dime. I thought it was a penny at first, and it’s a bit rough on the reverse, but a treasure no doubt!

Looks like the reverse has been ran over by a car a few times but still a pretty cool find nonetheless! I wonder why it was there in the first place lol. How many people do you think walked by it without picking it up?

 

Definitely a treasure.. I have metal detected about a dozen of those Barber Dimes. Neat.

How strange. 110 years later it's laying in a parking lot.

 

It was in a frequently used parking space, so probably not too many. To be honest, my initial thought was it was a smooshed piece of gum and after picking it up I thought it’s either a penny or a peso. Of course, I scoured that area looking for others lol!

 

Put it on eBay call it a one-of-a-kind. Over price it astronomically. You might get lucky....

 

And give up my luckiest coin???? Lol

 

And all you did was step out of the car. Lol Great find! Wish I could do that.

 

I mixed up my lucky coins with coins I need to inspect I won’t give them up either. So they will sit

 

The scrapes I'll bet mean it was there for a while and people walked right by it. I pick up everything, BTW, I don't care what it is, well maybe with the exception of gum.

 

No it was a grocery store parking lot. And literally a store front space.

 

I bet you couldn't wait to show that off, i would have been busting at the seams! Great find!
