1996 penny possible errors

    I don't know whether the 9 and 6 where interchangeable at that point at the mint and on the shoulder its looks different....
    I see slight doubling on it especially on the reverse ....
    Can any one help me out on this coin

    Nothing is wrong with the date, that is just how it was designed. From what I can tell, it seems like this is Die Deterioration Doubling. In other words, its worthless doubling, as it is very common.
