Morgan Dollar Eagle Token ??

    Any ideas on this thing ?? have you seen me before ?? Has resemblance of the morgan Eagle engraved into it .Slightly smaller than a Morgan Dollar and made of some ceramic like material. Not to light either. About 3/16" thick. I'm not sure if this is the right place for discussing issues on this subject ? Please let me know if this is exceptable for posting here. Correction !! It's the exact same size !! New pics to view.....

    I have not found anything other than Eagle and the circle on it. Pretty good engraving for someone to just play around. I bought it from a person along with Hawaii tokens & coins. Thanks to all

    Interesting is right. The U.S. Mint sometimes creates what are called galvanos. They are made of plaster and are used to transfer a design onto a working hub. Sometimes plaster models are also made to demonstrate a design. Usually both of those things are very large, though.

    Looks like an old gaming chip from the mid 1800's... material would be clay and thickness is correct. Of course, I could be 100% wrong as usual...

    Thank you for the insight. I will be adding a few more pics. I was wrong about size...it's exactly the same..picture up in a bit...thanks again.
