GTG and name the error: 1954 Jefferson nickel

    This may be idiotically easy for you veterans but have at it anyway. Graded by NGC.

    PR66 holder is a little scratched up e.tc.,im stuck between a strike through or die clash?

    PR65 but I can't see through the scratches. Especially hard over pics. If that on the obverse is on the coin and not the case could it be a die shatter incident?

    Otherwise is it a collar clash? looking at the rims

    I'm no expert in modern errors, but I immediately thought of a clash with a rotated die.

    I believe the "scratch" believed to be on the holder running from the bottom of (LIBERT)Y to Jefferson's head is actually the other side of the clash and is actually the bottom of Montecello.

    I am late to the party. Why does the mentioned strike thru look raised? It also looks like the area going across his shoulder and to the rim look bi-level.
    Any better photos?
