. What's up with the 77 Washington I know there's a spitting horse on a state quarter but it was there known to be spitting eagle on a 77 Washington the coin has a lot of issues especially die problems worn out die perhaps I don't think it'd be Grease it's basically the whole coin is very lightly punched also the We in God we trust looks a little funky the E I believe might be environmental it's like something hit it and shot North the w machine doubling might getting better at this LOL
A spitting eagle is only on the back on the eagle due to a die clash. That is all damage. A spitting eagle looks like this and is on the reverse, See how the line comes off of the eagles beak? That's a die clash from Washington's head.
Sorry, but your coin took a lot of hits while in circulation. It's not an error of any kind. As @GH#75 has said, a "spitting eagle" is due to a clashed die
Wow! The 1st pic is awesome. I'm attaching what I think is my collection of "Spitting Eagles" Don't know if they qualify but........
hey Jimm the E in the word WE does look odd. i suspect its machine doubling, dont you. good luck next time man
Gentleman I know the coin is trashed I know it's worth nothing I thought it'd be quite funny to see a spitting eagle on the quarter of the 77 and I seen it I was laughing I thought you guys would get a kick out of it what can you buy for a quarter these days
There is a lot of damage and explain to me how punctuation saves lives if you understand what is written then what's the problem
Typing with no punctuation is a strain for the reader. Trying to decipher your thoughts should not be the readers job. Reading your posts are like trying to read a DNA strand.
@Jimm When asking for help, making your post easy to read and understand makes it easier for people to help you. They are already committing their time to answer your question, why should they put in the extra effort to decipher the question as well? If you don’t care enough to make your question easy to understand, why should you expect members to care enough to answer them? That being said, the refusal to use punctuation isn’t as bad as some other posts, but it doesn’t help. However, arguing that members shouldn’t be concerned with how you write, comes across as arrogant, IMO. You might as well be saying “Just shut up and answer my question”. I know that’s not what you mean, but that’s how it can come across. Just something to think about, especially if you don’t want people to skip over your questions. Edit to add: It doesn't have to be perfect. I make typos all the time. Just don't make it a challenge to decipher your question. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation, even at a basic level help a lot
Speaking of punctuation: Decipher this a sign posted up and down the street simply states "KIDS SALE TODAY!" I called and ask them how much would one cost that is already potty trained? She hung up. It does matter, but it is not worth getting your drawers in a wad about. Stay Safe.
The Chinese language does not have punctuation. That is the point. Not everyone grew up and/or was educated in and with our punctuation system. Another example is the hybrid South Korean language, and the "modern" younger generation vs. the older generation. The point is, we maybe should be a bit tolerant with assumptions of knowledge. Don't get me started on the Mandarin dialect. I don't personally think there is any value in punctuation shaming. Try deciphering original encounter notes of a Physician. Yes, moving on now is probably a good idea.
