It's Bad. I think it will drive the value of authentic collectible Coins down in the future. Why? More and more people will be drawn away from coin collecting because they will be afraid to buy Coins not knowing if they are real or fake. you can sell me a 1943 copper penny but I will buy it for just a penny. Edit; Better yet, I'll just rather keep my 1999-D Lincoln.
I'm sure that some of the best fakes are made right here in the good ole USA. From what I've been told, we also make some of the best pot in the entire world. Yankee ingenuity is still alive and well but we somehow always think that some other country is beating us to the punch. Trust me, I've traveled and it isn't really so.
Point well taken. By the way where is that pot? Oh wait I'm thinking I'm back in college. I don't do that stuff anymore. really, I swear. Seriously, I tarvel a lot, but I don't encounter USA fakes, but I know what you are saying. I think we invented it.
I'm hearing Oregon, Washington, and Kentucky. But like you, I'm not in college anymore so it is just heresay. I'm sure if there is money in it, someone in a garage is making it.
