https://www.ebay.com/itm/284226946945 Auction was ending soon and no one had bid on it. When comparing it to the same coins the lettering of the date scared me off it. I'm no expert and I hope I did the right thing. I gave up bidding on https://www.ebay.com/itm/1896-Morgan-Dollar-Bu/184712764240 and wound up buying https://www.ebay.com/itm/1896-Morgan-Silver-Dollar-B-U-Condition-Mint-Luster-0082/333890231979. I hope I did OK.
hehe I looked at all 3 of those... Before deciding I'm going to stick to slabs this time around.. there being so many fakes out there recently.. costs a bit more this way, but safer in the long run i think... (at least for MS coins, i will still buy lowballs and lower priced coins raw.. i prefer them raw if not MS..
It's obviously cleaned. Look at everything in the creases in the date and the lettering, they couldn't get in there, just around it.
Others are saying its real but cleaned. I agree that it is cleaned. Either they didn't clean off all of the polish or its silver plated because I see grey around the lettering and stars lol. I wouldn't have bid on it either.
It's one thing to buy raw ungradeds from an LCS you know or a legit coin show....or HA or GC...but NOT Ebay, unless from a seller with a great reputation who you've dealt with before.
