Why does it take sooo long to post a neutral or a negative feedback score? Anyone?

I've tried to leave feedback on both firefox takes soo long, or doesn't work. Now I'm trying on explorer. Anyone know what the problem is? Also my computer is acting up right now otherwise I'd be leaving more info.

You can only leave feedback for an item where you are the buyer or seller. If you are trying to post negative feedback on an open item, or a closed item that you didn't buy, it ain't gonna happen!

I believe the coin in the link is a fake, like the one I bought awhile back and took to a coin store to make certain. The one I bought was a verified casted counterfeit. :hail:

Can you post images of it? The one in the listing looks genuine to me, though I'm guessing the color is off due to a white balance issue in the imaging.

The linked coin looked good to me as well. What makes you think it's a fake?

Oh sorry about the confusion, I wasn't trying to leave feedback on an item I didn't buy, the link below is of the item I did buy. I just put up the top link b/c I believe the seller is continuing to sell fake buffalos. Here's some pics of the nickel that I took to the coin store so there wouldn't be any question.

Also in response to your question Mark Feld, her ya' go. I'll post more pics later if needed. thx

These pics are of the fake coin. I got it in the mail, thought it was fake, took some pics, not very good ones. Had it verified at a coin store as being fake, the bottom pic even though it lousy pic to me it's a dead give away. Here's the ebay number. 160369905004

No, I am specifically talking about this seller only. If I was supposed to word it differently then I apoligize.

What I found interesting is that awhile back Vess did a post on some fake buffalo nickels that he bought on ebay intentionally and his were shiney. The one I rec'd from the above seller was not shiney at all, in fact is was dull. Soo dull that it was my first indication that it was fake when I got it in the mail.

I understood that you bought it from someone else but they also had a very high rating and lots of transactions. Also, the coin that you bought from this seller was a very high grade fake. If the one shown at the start of this string is also a fake, I'm starting to worry.

Here's the whole story in a nutshell. I had sent this to someone else earlier for advise. thx

I bought a fake, then I got a refund. Then I learned this person has sold fake 1913 T1's in the past and continues to do so, IMHO. Here's the transaction 160369905004. Incidentally he has another 1913 T1 on right now that's a fake and I reported it. Also he has definitely sold them in the past and I guess the previous customers have not noticed, this last statement is MHO.

And finally on the 1913 T1 that he has listed right now, I emailed him and told him that the coin was fake. He asked me how I knew, I told him that I took the one I rec'd to the coin store just to make sure and the owner said, that it was a fake casted coin. I also told him that I would post the info on my coin forum if he would like. :D His final reply was OK. Not ok post it on your forum, just an OK.

I took the OK to mean he would remove his current 1913 T1, he didn't remove and I reported it.

Anyways, like my original question asked, why does a neutral or negative feedback take so long to go thru the ebay system meaning the computer? I've left my feedback sit for a long time and it never appears to be submitted. I found the answer to my question, when you get to the second page you have to check all 3 boxes.

I see no evidence that the current listing is fake - not that that is proof of anything.

As for your feedback, I just left some feedback without a problem. Although it was positive, I would not think that is significant. Try contacting eBay.

I must admit, looking at that listing, I wouldn't have thought that coin was a counterfeit. Who told you it was?

No expert on these, but I agree they look real. Curious as to the weight of these? And how cat someone identify if these are fake.

As far as who told me, nobody told me but my opinion and my email to the seller and his response.

Below is the listing of the known fake, top link. If you look at the link below that, to me they look very much the same, sure the bottom link is a better taken pic. Please don’t mis-understand, I am not saying it’s the exact same coin he sold to me. What I am saying is that I think the guy has a stash of 1913 type 1 buffalo nickels and is unloading them one by one. He doesn't have very bad feedback or anything like that and that's part of the reason I took the fake I rec'd to the coin store to have it verified.

Take a look at Liberty on the obverse, it shows a very weak strike, looks same to me as the coin I bought, just a little better pic. On the reverse is the word Pluribus which was too close together on my fake and appears to be too close together on the bottom link. If you look at the area on either link, under the buffalos torso between all 4 legs, looks fake to me. To me it’s a different pic of the same type of counterfeit coin.

The seller has sold a lot of coins and I’ve looked at all his stuff he currently has for sale and to me, the only fake looks to be the 1913 type 1 buffalo nickel. That's just my opinion after dealing with him and receiving a verified fake. adios

I was asking if you had images of the one you had already bought, which you said you had been told was counterfeit and which supposedly matched the one you have linked.

The word "LIBERTY" is almost always weak on these coins and the letters in "PLURIBUS" look typical to me. I believe that you have jumped to an incorrect conclusion and your posts (and links) are confusing.

First, you have 2 links to the same coin.

Second, what Mark was asking was which store/numismatist did you take it to.

Third, if you think he has a stash of cast fakes, they are all going to be identical. The cost of making a counterfeit is making the mold. You are going to copy one coin multiple times not make single copies of multiple coins.

The only images I put up are of the fake coin that I bought. Here's the link of the fake coin I bought.
