The 10 and 50 new pence notes the OP showed were issued in the British sector of Berlin beginning in 1971 after decimalization of the pound. They were used until the mid 80s.
In the late 1980s, the Ministry of Defence sold all their remaining stock of notes that included these and the notes techwriter showed. The entire group of hundreds of thousands of notes was sold in a single lot by sealed bid.
It would be nice, if they had some real value, most series can be picked up for less then a song, I have a few myself, there still pretty cool
I find them very interesting. Didn't know they even existed, but if I thought about it I bet I'd suspect they do. I guess they are the British version of US MPC's.
Yes, they are the British version of MPC. The first series was issued in summer 1946, a few months before the US began using MPC.
