Here 1966 Kennedy to grade

this just got back from Ngc I do not know way it is not in the new holder.
lets see what you grade it????

but grade in the ballpark

 

That's one smokin hot kennedy. The only mark that I am worried about is the one on the cheek. I'd give the 1966 a grade of MS-66.

 

Due to marks on the cheek, I'd say 64.

 

Looks like a nice SMS coin with some decent frost, pretty!

 

I'd say 65 Cameo, although I don't think PCGS would call it Cam.

 

So you're saying NGC wouldn't grade this? What holder is it in now?

 

No, I just mean that PCGS might not call it Cameo and NGC might. It appears borderline to me but photos are hard to tell.

My guess would be sms-64. higher if not for the cheek marks.

 

From the tone of your post I suspect the coin graded 64. Looks like a liner 64 or 65 to my eye. I also suspect NGC didn't call it a CAM either.

I this was the my 1st star coin I had graded but I was sure it would Cameo but I guess the star is ok.
I sent it off April or May and I wanted the new holder. but I guess they have a large stock of the old holder left

 

I thought it would Cameo too but I think the Star is a better deal. Nice coin either way. Take care Jello

 

Jello I think with that unfortunate scratch on the cheek you should feel good about the 66.

I do have a beginnier's question as to the star. What does it stand for?
