After suffering through the first quarter of another lousy NFL game, I flipped to the coinvault to see what they were peddling tonight. The can't miss item up for sale was a complete, gold plated, state quarter set. While the camera is panning over them, the salesman states that since Obama was elected, that millions and millions of the Hawaii and Illinois state quarters had been stickered and painted. 'Lost forever'. Actually implying that they have become..........'scarce'! LOL ( Never mind that these had been damaged also by being plated with something. ) 79.99 buys the set! I wonder if these salesman feel good about themselves at the end of the day?
Guess you're a redskins fan eh Vess? The guys on those shows never have to wake up in the morning and look in the mirror........
Remember according to those two clowns the Illinois quarter has already gone up over 800% and is still climbing!!!!:hammer:
It is funny that they talk about coins being lost to a sticker and they are selling plated coins. :computer:
If you think about it, most of those people that advertise on those shows are just advertisers. Not much more than a phone telemarketer. Usually have no idea of what they are saying, just following a script. And as long as they are making money, have a job, really don't care what they are saying. If they were told to sell coins that were dented, scratched, acid dipped, they would still say what a great bargain that is. I don't think they care at all as long as they take their pay checks to the bank.
Exactly, they are clueless as to what they are doing. It's just like you and I, we put in our 8 hours, go home and forget about what we did for the last 8 hours.
That new motor mouth (Shawn) they added to the team from CVN or whatever, says three times these quarters have been plated seven times in 24k pure gold, bet all of the plated quarters together didn't have a tenth of a gram of gold. He can out lie the famous "if his lips is moving he's lying Jimmy Gerstel" Coin Talk should go back to the original owner ole Grady.
