I picked these up from a local teller the other day and noticed both were slightly off. My guess is that each will fall into the minor error category but thought I'd seek opinions. I'm keeping both for my collection but any guesses as to extra value each may bring if any? Thanks.

Top note: misaligned print, border cut off
Bottom note: misaligned serial #'s & seals, seal touching "Debts" in the obligation

normally, the futher off the off-center is, the less the ntoe is worth UNTIl the off-centering starts to cut into the design. thats normall - if you like the notes, and are happy with the purchase - then its a moote point :)

Yep, that's my understanding too. But this one was so close with the border of the design being cut off in the lower right I wasn't sure if that would be perceived as a favorable error or still somewhat undesirable.

i can just barely see the outer line along the border, so :)

not to say they are not cool notes! Notes from the 70's are tough to find in circulation. I find 60's more often then 70's

Ok, I'm confused. On the lower right of the note the outer border IS cut-off (though just barely). By that I would say the misalignment has cut into the design. Or is this still too close to be considered a desirable error?

As for the second note, I was curious if the reserve bank seal touching the obligation was enough to also consider this a misalignment error. You have to look at it to notice it but it is touching.

I'm just trying to get a feel for things. I think anyone can detect an obvious error, but both of these are pretty close. Just not sure if they're close enough.

the lower right border being cut is not the design, so no added premium there. The seal just touching the obligation is also not anything to add to a premium.
