The first coin is a 1986 and I was wondering if this is a broadstrike. The second coin I posted I know is PMD, but I see this exact same circular damage on so many that I know there must be a common source. Roller/crimpler damage perhaps?
Example 1: extreme die deterioration (as seen on clad Lincolns) Example 2: counting machine (roller) mark damage
Not that I am aware of. BTW a broadstruck coin will have a greater outside dimension than a normal coin
The first coin is die deterioration and the second coin is post mint damage from a rolling machine Bill Somers
