2005 Dime... What is this?

Hi, I have found another weird error-type thing in a roll that I need help on. If you look on his neck there is a small bit of metal attached to Roosevelt's neck. It is next to the P mintmark. Is this normal or common? Any information on to what it is would be very helpful.

The picture is pretty small but it appears to be a minor die chip and that is very common.

Hi Hull check this 1984 dime I have .

 

wow...thats nice. on the dime subject...what is the importance of the 1983 dime

 

It's worth 10 cents and there is a RPM listed for the Denver minted dime.

 

so why is it inflated over other dimes in the red book

 

My 2010 RB doesn't inflate it.

 

I have the 09 and 10 redbook and the 09 does

 

I could hardly see anything. I'm like, really tired right now.

 

I would say it's a minor die chip
