No finger-holes to finger the capsules out of the holder? Hmmm, maybe it's the kind you have to depress the capsule like on the AGB coins in their boxes. I don't like those type of capsule release concepts.

I'm looking all around this thing tryin' to figure a way to dislodge the coins but they are set in there really tight. Knife or screw driver? It's killin' me. I want to see if those cents have mint marks....lol

the AGB coins were really tight in the holders when those were new. If you press down on the capsule gently on the top or bottom edge of the AGB coins there is a more hollow space under the coin that the capsule can sink into and the opposite edge lifts up to free from the holder buy they are very tight when new. The AGB holder befuddled me at first but I never got used to applying any force down on a coin to take hold of it.

    Ln6 arrived day early

My parents LN6 arrived today 10/23/2009 a day earlier than the projected 10/24/2009. It was ordered at 11:44 CST on 10/15/2009 and shipped 10/20/2009. The order was 3316xxxx.

My order 3317xxxx was placed at 12:18 pm CST 10/15/2009, has an estimated delivery date of 10/27/2009. The orders are shipped from Plainfield, IN to Indianapolis, IN and then USPS in hometown. The mail carrier then delivers.

Good Luck! You might get it early.

    Rick

[IMG] [IMG] Thanks Greeenie, This looks to be a little large, the 5 1/2, for my SDB but I'll just have to wait and see.

I have to disagree. I think the US Mint Web site performed exactly as expected. It became completely nonfunctional when a new item went on sale. The phone system also performed exactly as expected. Customers were told that their calls couldn't be answered and they would have to call back later.

:p I double checked all mine to make sure they have S's. That could have been the topper right there.

I have to say I'm really impressed with the Lincoln Coin & Chronicles Set. Usually I've been critical of the US Mint, regarding the quality of their products. Not this time. The presentation of this product is amazing. The reproduction of the Gettysburg address, Lincoln photo and signature, along with the five proof coins really top off the celebration of Lincoln in 2009. It also helps that none of the coins in my set have any spots on them (at least from the naked eye).

There's no way I'm selling my set. :)

I just got my set in the mail today and I, too, am very impressed with it. The US Mint did a great job with this one.
