It cost me $128 in total
I know the dollar is down at the moment and that is why i am buying. In 6 months i would not bid so easily

i think you did awsome! Alot of those olympic coins didnt sell so well at issue because the mint was flooding the market with so many types - this means that now so many people want so few coins. The fact you got an MS70 coin that is sought after is a true find!!!

Usually the ones that don't sell well at mint are the ones worth it in the long run!

This coming from someone who's first postings on here were in mid August (two months ago) about beginning their first coin collection.

Well not exactly always true(the 2006 reverse proofs did pretty well and seem to be holding their price), bt I do believe that usually holds true.

sorry to be the downer here.

    But--

I am not, and never will be a fan of modern stuff with high grades.

The more that get graded, the more MS-70's will be around.

buy the coin not the slab.

It's a beautiful coin. MS70! Wow! I think you did well. Enjoy it.

Now that you mention it, the TPG's should only give MS70's to coins that are 20+ years old. It too easy to get an MS70 on a coin that is a day old and directly from the mint.

:whistle:eek:k i see your not all in agreement but i think i done good
pcgs only has a population of 105 in this grade and ngc only 187
the last pcgs coin like this was back in march 08 and that sold for $253

    :thumb: thanks dave

But back then those populations were not nearly so high. That's why you got this one for $100. Because nobody else was willing to pay that much for it anymore.

I think you got a great deal, PCGS is very strict giving out MS70's on these. I was interested in getting some PCGS PR70 Sacagawea $, but lately it seems they are not as strict as before, population went up a lot this year.

I think it's a great coin! And after 14 years not that many more are going to get graded MS70. These MS70 business strikes are really popular at the shows I do.
