If you would like a roll of , say for example, pennies, would you say, "Can I get a roll of pennies?" and if so, do you just give 'em 50 cents for it?

    - How much $ is in a roll of dimes, quarters, and Halves?
I know pennies is 50 cents and Nickels is $2.

I'd be more likely to say "May I please have . . ."
    50 dimes = $5, 40 quarters = $10, 40 halves = $20, 25 SBA/Sac $1 = $25, and 20 Ikes/silver $1 = $20.

Unless you had some unusual or difficult request that merited a service charge, banks normally "sell" rolls of coins at face value. Dimes are 50 for $5, quarters are 40 for $10, halves are 20 for $10.

Agreed with all of the above - as someone who goes and "buys" coins from various banks all the time, I'd like to add also that it may even be easier for you to ask to buy a box of coins, if you can afford it.

Boxes of coins carry the following values (all are sold at face value, with no service charge at every bank I can think of):
    1 box of pennies = 50 rolls = $25
    1 box of nickels = 50 rolls= $100
    1 box of dimes = 50 rolls = $250
    1 box of quarters = 50 rolls = $500
1 box of halves = 100 rolls = $1000 (this may differ based on where you live and the rolling service)

    Good luck!
