    Don't collect paper money myself, but that is a 1000 mark note from Poland - "Tysiąc Marek Polskich" means a thousand Polish marks.

    After WW1 Poland first continued to use the Mark/Pfennig currency that was introduced during that war. "Polska Krajowa Kasa Pożyczkowa" (Polish National Loan Office) is the central bank, so to say, that issued these notes. They were legal tender in the first years of the republic. In 1924, after a high inflation period, the Polish Mark was replaced by the Złoty.
