Will there be a limit on these guys? Any time limit, or mintage limit, household limit? I couldn't find the information, could anyone else? Less than 10 days away and nobody knows.........
I hope so, because I would love to buy my first gold piece. I try not to buy stuff I don't think is worth it, unless it looks really pretty. But I won't buy any high end items unless there is good reason to believe other wise.
There is no mintage or household order limit for this product. http://www.usmint.gov/pressroom/index.cfm?action=press_release&ID=1074
the mint were able to acquire a lot of blanks. both unc and proof. so it should be a very high mintage for both.
The Mint has already said there will be no "Uncirculated" Buffaloes minted this year. Perhaps I am mistaken, or perhaps the Mint has changed its decision, or perhaps there is confusion between the "Bullion" Buffaloes which were released today, and the "Uncirculated" Buffaloes. The "Uncirculated" Buffaloes are a collector coin made from burnished plashets available only from the Mint. They bear the "W" mint mark. The "Bullion" Buffaloes are business strike coins available only through a few approved dealers. They have no mint mark, even though they too are minted at West Point.
