Excellent ! What's left to complete the 1888 Friedrich series?

 

I now only need the 10 Mark and 20 Mark gold pieces.

Yesterday I was showing my collection to my advisor and his wife, and sure enough, the german states coins made an impression

 

I like to collect 1888 also. :whistle:

The early German States coinage had very nice designs. They are quite eye catching. The coin posted here is a very hard one to find in any grade above xf. It is a Half Taler. I think most members on here will know the story behind the boat thats on the coin.
