I was at A new bank today clearing them out of Halves and I started thinking about all the story's I've been hearing about people getting Morgans ,silver eagles and peace dollars at there banks for face lately so I asked if they had anything Larger then a Half Larger in size. Now I have 80 Ike dollars that I know nothing about is there something I should look for other then s mint is there any premium for the Ike's if i try to sell them ? I did get 3 40% out of $60 In Halves so not a bad day no matter what.
Yes, there are plenty of things to look for, 40% Ikes for starters... There are varieties too. Start with your Redbook and I'm sure there will more Ike fans pop on here to help you out. Nice pick up by the way!
Got 20 dollars in jeffersons today. Asked about halves. They said someone cleaned them out. Last time they did not have any. But there does seem to be more halves around my part of the county, Indiana, than there were a couple ofyears ago. They now look at me like I know what I am talking about instead of looking at me, like what's a half dollar?? I am serious. Got some questionable looks a year or so ago when I asked!! Love doing those rolls!!! Warren
