Please ignore the title. I simply contacted the seller myself and he said it is indeed a dino-lite. Please focus more on a dealer perspective...I'm happy I'm going to sell some of my foreign gold. For an example, I have an AU58 PCGS 1900 Sovereign, I saw one in an old ANACs holder on ebay for $280. That's what it sold for. I'm going to try and compare now for the melt price of what it is...I know there's that website out there that tells you the melt price of coins.

I'd be interested in hearing tips from different dealers here on the coin business, from the perspective as a dealer. Mark Feld, The Penny Lady, Lost Dutchman, Arizona Jack, and everyone else on here I respect you all...I want to understand more of the market and the pitfills that lie ahead. It's going to be a big learning process for me..I would enjoy eventually working at a coin shop but keep in mind I would love to travel to coin shows as a dealer myself one day..

I've decided since gold is so high I'm going to do some research and sell off some of my foreign gold, I don't have much of an attachment to. My friend recently bought this microscope and says it works great, I've heard about the dino lite and am going to get back into selling coins to gain knowledge and experience on ebay..I'm going to learn more about errors and varieties and expand my knowledge. I'm possibly considering doing coin dealing as a main source of income eventually, I am very passionate about it and what would be better than to do something I love and make money at it?

Here's the coin I'm deciding to sell. These are only a few of the foreign gold. This is quite a profit from what I paid. I did research on my own for the prices, compared with heritage archives and ebay, and a few other sites.

1900 "Old style" head British Sovereign. PCGS AU58
    Estimated value: ~$280
Ducat, 1915 restrike, .986 pure, bullion coin. Estimated value: ~$130
Scratched but genuine 1913 MS details gold sovereign
    Basically bullion. Estimated value: ~$249
1992 Australian gold nugget, 1/20 oz. No idea on this one, as the prices seem to range widely and I couldn't find any good ones for sale on ebay completed listing. I will probably start it at melt. Estimated value: $60
Mexican gold 2 peso, melt. Estimated value: $50

In all that's around $769 for a couple bullion coins.

Keep the fees in mind. Will there still be a profit after Ebay and Paypal gets 15% or so?
That's what kills me about selling. To make it even more fun, we get to pay taxes if there is still any profit.
