Now onto Denmark. The catalog lists slanted & Straight 5 for the Denmark 1951 5 ore. I'm presuming the are talking about the 5 in 1951 but just incase I've included a picture of both 5's. The 1st two images are mine this last image is off the web mine look like they maybe straight compared to this image were the 5 looks like it's angled differently. Opinions please?
Both fives looked slanted to me, so I would think it is safe to say that you have a slanted 5. IMO, I think that it is supposed to be the five in the date.
I see the two varieties listed in Krause, but without a corresponding picture it's hard to say for sure. However, Krause does suggest the last two digits were punched separately in dies that year. This shows on the last photo, where the 51 is obviously punched askew from the 19--and the 1 may be repunched too. The Copenhagen mint was a bit sloppy back then, and you'll find a lot of interesting date varieties on the coins they minted for Iceland. So...without a pic, I'd guess the "straight 5" has a vertical up stroke, but it might also mean the top flag of the digit--wish I knew for sure. Yours does look "straight" to me. :thumb: The reference you need for this is "Sieg's Møntkatalog Norden", which is published in Denmark. I'm still trying to locate one, since I collect date varieties for Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Iceland.
I´m locking in Siegs møntkatalog 2010 now, but it does not distinguish between 5 øre 1951 with straight 5 and 5 øre 1951 with slant 5.
I was hoping the book would say something, thanks for letting me know. I still need to get myself a Siegs...

Thanks for that link, and yes it adds up! I may just buy an older edition, since the info I need pertains to older coins.
