my first 5 buffulos

    I bought these yesterday, paid $3.00 for them all. good deal, just right , or rip off??? thanks--BILL

    Not sure, but for 3 bucks I probably would have bought them. At least just based on what I see. I wouldn't mind have a collection of them in that grade.

    It looks like it was a good deal for you. In that condition, most places will want a $1.00 a piece minimum just for dealing with them. On the flip side, those years from Philadelphia are by far the most common of all the buffalo nickels. The first and second highest mintages of the series.

    1936-P: 118,997,000 minted

    1937-P: 79,480,000 minted

    If you buy a roll of buffalos off ebay, there's a good chance half the roll will be 36's and 37's. I've got a lot of them.

    I'd say you got a very good deal. They look like nice coins and would match well most circulated Buffalo collections.

    It's actually a really decent deal. If you consider the cost of the 2x2's alone, that means you only paid about $2.75 for the coins. As already noted those sell normally for about $1 each and all yours are in really decent conditions.
    You did OK.
