image is too small to see anything

as to why they are popping up everywhere is because they are everywhere! litterally millions are printed every year. While it doesnt comparee to the billions and billions of non-stars printed, it still means there are alot of them around. I have only seen 2 stars in the last few months, so i am in a big dry spell!!!

whats is the series date, and the district? I could look up the note to tell you how many were printed.

on average, star notes represent only about 1/2% of all notes printed. So, yes, that is not alot when compared to the total printed - but it can still add up to alot of notes. For the most part, collectors really clamor to get notes when only 320,000 or even 640,000 notes are less are printed. 1.2 to 3.2 million really starts to get more common. I really think 3.2 million is not a big number when talking about printed notes... but it more then satisfies collector demand, so the premium usually nevers gets above face of printings higher then a couple million :)

    Hey Hunter...

Daggarjon is correct...we do need a larger image.
Try setting up a account at www.photobucket.com and then one you upload an image, simply just copy it's image tag to the post and wallla..instant big pic!

It looks like a Series 2003 Richmond Star...Cabral/Snow..but I could be wrong.. if so the run was only 320,000 and the note has a small premium on it depending on condition.

    Hunter...

While not a Series 2003 you still did pretty good.
Swartz/Lindquist Book list that note as a Series 2003A as a note from a sheet.

SN ranges for that 2003A run from E00000001-E00320000 = 320,000 notes.

In Gem it list's at $75 USD..while we would still need to see a larger pic to help determine condition, I will say Great find young man!!

It has a premium associated with it...
