OK, quick contest...... Here are some riddles. The person who answers the most correctly will win their choice of a prize. I will have four prizes, so there will be four winners. Contest starts now and will end Wednesday night at 9pm EST. I will be giving away a Virginia Bicentennial Medal, a 2009S Proof Nickel, a 2007 1 Florin Aruban coin and a 1951D BU Roosevelt dime. Please PM me your answers. Let the brain smoke commence.

    2. If your sock drawer has 6 black socks, 4 brown socks, 8 white socks, and 2 tan socks, how many socks would you have to pull out in the dark to be sure you had a matching pair?

    3. What is broken every time it's spoken?

    4. How did Mark legally marry three women in Michigan, without divorcing any of them, becoming legally separated, or any of them dying?

    5. Mom and Dad have four daughters, and each daughter has one brother. How many people are in the family?

    6. What English word retains the same pronunciation, even after you take away four of its five letters?

    7. What work can a painter never quite finish?

    8. Why wasn't John able to take a photo of his mother with curlers?

    9. If there are three cups of sugar and you take one away, how many do you have?

    10. What has a mouth but can't chew?

    11. How many letters are in the alphabet?

    12. What gets wetter and wetter the more it dries?

    13. What can travel around the world while staying in a corner?

    14. Food can help me survive, but water will kill me. What am I?

    15. Take away the whole and some still remains. What is it?

Last but not least...... If it has a quart capacity, how many pennies can you put into a empty piggy bank?

Originally, that was going to be one of the prizes.....but I am still not done with it yet. So that will have to wait for another day. You guys have some really good memories!

As far as the contest is going. I have 10 PMs with answers so far. I guess I should also mention this that I will close the contest early if I get enough winners. Not point to keep everyone going when we have the winners already.

Also, Please note if you are YN (Young Numismatist) Some of you already done this, but this will also help during prize selection. THanks. Joe

Its not a madal you put around your neck is it? Is it like a commerative??

No it is not a medal that you put around your neck. It is about the size of you IKE dollar that you have as your AVATAR. It is a type of commemorative, but not like one issued by the US Mint. The metal appears to be made out of pewter, but there is a very small possibility that it could be made out of silver, but highly unlikely. I have not been able to confirm no deny this. I have contacted a couple medal specialists and all seemed familiar with the medal itself, but could not tell me much more than what I already knew. It is a nice piece.

Hey Gang!!! Contest is OVER!!!! We have 4 winners.....and they are.....

    1. Hontonai
    2. UMN25
    3. Ryanbrooks
    4. Cherylkubucko

All four of the above people answered perfectly.

Since Hontonai and Cheryl asked me to donate their prize to a YN, the next two winners who answered most correctly and were YNs are....
    1. James1
    2. Acodym

All these contestants got all the questions correct as well.

So lets do what I did on my last contest, UMN25 since you were the first winner, you get to pick your prize first. After you pick, then I will send the choices to Ryan and so on.

The prizes to chose from are:
    1. Virginia Bicentennial medal - posted above
    2. 2009S Proof Nickel
    3. 2007 Aruban 1 Florin Coin
    4. 1951D Roosevelt Dime

Also, when you send me your choice, please pm me your address and I will send out your coins on tuesday since the post office is closed tomorrow.

The answers will be posted on another post.

    Thanks.
