OK, thanks for trying to understand what I meant when I asked for 'How about a picture of it from a different angle or different lighting'.
I can't think of another way of putting it unless I use some alien language.

I think we agree on the machine doubling. Where the contention occurs is whether the

    (1) MD specifically makes the coin a VAM2 or subvariety of VAM2, or
    (2) MD is a coincidence on a VAM2 or any coin, but doesn't change the VAM or variety.

I can find no indication supporting 1, as the obverse die listed for VAM2 categories is not MD when hubbed or it would have been a real DDO rather than MD. It is that MD was so common on 1922 P Peace $, that many photos illustrating one will have MD.
    So I go with 2.

When absolute strangers ask for help , but seem to take offense when the responders like Rockdude and others takes the time to try and do so, but it is contra to the posters hopes, is not productive to say the least. You have posted a similar coin on the VAM forum in August, and did not receive any confirming responses. If you post large obverse and reverse photos of the complete coin , maybe someone will try and confirm the actual VAM number. Please take this as constructive.

At least it could have been a waist of time over a interesting coin!

A 22 peace dollar is about the most boring and uninteresting coin of all time, except for President dollars, Roosevelts, Ikes, Washintons, SBA's, Franklins, Jeffersons and Kennedies, (not in that order particularly but does it matter, Sorry you guys I could not help myself!!!)).
I wish we would have spent that time better.

I thought about saying, "dude, it'a a 22 peace dollar, nobody cares are even cares to care about this coin. It is nothing but a chunk of silver, one of the most ruined coins in the history of numismatics. You may live to be 200 hundred years old to find much interesting in 99.9% of the 1922 Peace dollars you will ever see. The dies were ruined and no one cares.
Would that responce have been too strong or abrupt??? Just checking???
