I have this 1960D RPM. Not sure which on it is. I know there are a lot, but I went through each one and did not find a match. I also think there is minor doubling on the date. What do you guys think?
I think I agree with Rockdude on 1MM-013; the MM position seems plausible. It would have to be LMDS or LDS though. Jessash1976 check for markers and positioning for RPM-013 and let us know...
Ok, This is weird, but it has the die markers for 013, and 014. It has the marks that indicate an extra "D"above making it a D/D/D, but has both die markers indicating both varieties. I need to take it out of the 2x2 and get better pics. But both are indicated here. If that were possible, would that make it a new one to add to the 100 odd ones out there?
RPM -14 should have the vertical of the "D" thickened at the bottom as it is the "Tilted D/D portion with the third D, North of that. I don't see that. RPM -13 just has the 2nd D above the first, and the vertical is fairly parallel. Also photo the top of the 9 in yours. In the 2nd photo it appears that it might have the die chip in the top of the "9" just at the edge of the photo. I believe it is RPM-13. Jim
That is strange. Which die markers specifically are the same, some or all for 013 & 014? Check the CONECA variety listings for Lincoln RPMs too and check for the markers listed on 013 & 014.
It has the same markings on the "IN" part of IGWT, and on the rev,(which I could not get a clear pic), it has the same die markers on the top-left part of the Memorial. Jessie
If it has the same exact die scratch east of N, and the scratches west of the memorial, then I would think it was 014. But they have to be exact, not close.
