Possible 1943 Lincoln Cent Error?

    I was searching through a bunch of wheat pennies the other day when I came across a strange 1943 cent. The obverse looks completely normal, but the reverse is completely blank as if it hadn't been struck. Is this a common error or is it more likely a damaged coin?

    Welcome to the forum. It could be an error such as a struck through, however there's no way of telling unless you can provide a picture. Thanks

    I agree with rockdude, we need pics - it could be a struck through OR PMD...

    Here is a picture of the reverse. It's not a great image but there really isn't much to show. It is blank. The obverse looks like a typical circulated 1943 cent.

    Actually that shows more than enough you can see file/sanding marks. A planchet wouldn't have those marks. Post mint Damage
