2009 Mint Sets Arrived

How 'bout you guys. Have yours hit the mailbox yet? The one set that I opened is really quite nice. No major flaws and absolutely no spotting on the Lincolns.....

Congrats! How long did you wait? Did you order them on the day of release?

 

Hey Chris. Had a subscription for three so I was in on opening day. Got an e-mail from the mint on sunday that stated they were being sent out and here they are today. Not too bad at all.

Congrats greeny, ordered mine 5 min. after they went on sale and just shipped today , delivery date shows 10/15 , this West Coast delivery time really $uk$ :crying::goofer::rolling:dd::vanish:

 

Doesn't the US Mint ship from fulfillment centers in Kentucky? or Tenn?... If so, items should easily make it from there to either coast in about the same time depending on which carrier they use or which service you purchased.

 

Glad you got good sets, haven't seen an email from the mint about my subscription, better give them a call.

 

I just checked my subscription order after seeing this thread and lo and behold they are at my local PO at this minute,and no email notification!

 

I haven't revieved a email from the mint on my subscription for these yet, but they say they have shipped and as per the tracking they gave me, they should be here either tomorrow or Sat, at least I hope by where they say they are at the present time.

I am holding off from ordering until the big day next week, then I will order everything and save on those shipping costs.

 

Hey, I'm going to Washington, DC next week and know there are two places where you can buy U.S. Mint stuff, including Union Station. Does anyone in the area know if I have a chance of scoring the new mint sets in these retail stores?

 

I would say ask Sholom, but he hasn't been on in a while. Sholom used to be our DC guy. I would be surprised if you couldn't buy these sets at any of the mint satellite locations.

 

Just checked the mint web site, mine has shipped 10/6 from Indianapolis IN. Scheduled to be delivered 10/10 via FedEx. That's 4 days for about 220 miles.

 

I ordered mine the first day and i checked and it shipped today! The guy on the coinvault said individual orders from the mint took 4-6 wks!!!:hail:

Yeah, guess the .00096 addition of tarn X to the mixture didn't work....:smile

 

Starting this year, the new fulfillment center is in Indiana. That's even more in the middle than Tennessee. They seem OK, although every box I get looks like it's been dropped several times on both ends.

I ordered 5 sets. One has to go back because two of the presidential dollars have gouges on them. The other 4 sets are fine. All the Lincoln cents are perfect.
