I agree it does have potential to be a very nice coin, but with (whatever it is) on it, it needs some kind of cleaning/conservation. I will not say on what to use I will leave that to some others. But, I wouldn't want to use any acid like vinegar.

If you clean it in any way that removes the tone you want to get rid of, you will devalue it. There is no way around that that I can see... Coincraft's standard catalogue (1999) puts it at £6, £18, £50 and £120 in F, VF, EF and UNC respectively...
