Today when I went to the bank to withdraw some money the teller gave me two bills with their serial numbers ending with a star. One of them is a twenty dollars bill and the other is a fifty dolllars bill. One of them is from a 1996 series and the other one is from a 2004a series. can anybody give me more info on this star notes and do they have any value other than their face value. thanks..
collectively they are worth a minimum of $70 ther are a few things that go into determining the value of a note - date or series, serial with the first and last letters, and condition of the note. Which note is 1996 and which is 2004a - can make a big differance. www.uspapermoney.info/serials is a very ncie site to look up how many notes might have been printed for each series and district. or, just post pictures as mentioned above that would give us almost everything we need
