Okay, enough bad Bon-Jovi. This wounded Eagle resides in a sealed plastic envelope from Littleton Coin Co. in mint shape. Whadda ya think? Is the mint to blame?

Either that or the body and fender man down the street had some extra bondo and a bad coin to fix. :D

Did you contact Littleton about the damaged coin?

I was never a Bon Jovi fan, nevertheless, since last night, every time I see the title of this thread, that blasted song invades my mind :goofer:

No good ideas on that spot. At first I was thinking, maybe, just maybe a struck through, but the Cheerios hypothesis sounds like a winner to me...:hail:

Is it all the way through the coin, or just on one side? What is this coin being sold as? BU or circulated?

Same thing is happening with me. I've really gotta think before I name threads after bad '80's music!

Just one side. It's a seemingly perfectly round divot. Almost like those on a golf ball. Clashed with golf ball die?

It's my coin. I can't even remember where I came across it. It's in a sealed plastic bag from Littleton, and is labeled MS.
