    Just got back.

As usual, saw Illini420 and Penny Lady.

This show was 20x better than the Van Nuys, CA show I'll start off by saying that.

There was semi-big volume, lots of people, and the dealers weren't in as much of a money crunch as that last show.

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole show.

I arrived at 11(darn traffic) and left at 2ish. I got a 1927-p peace dollar, 10 1 oz silver bars for 10 cents below spot(good deals STILL exist! all thanks to McIntosh collectibles!) , 2 Franklin proofs, and a bunch of Eisenhouers. Oh yeah, and a red coin storage holder.

Mike (Illini420) did well too. He'll tell you what he bought but it looked great when he showed it to me.

I'm still on the hunt for a PR69 1995-w Silver eagle and didn't really find any worth talking about at the show. I'll just go to ebay or heritage for that one.

Penny Lady, good seeing you and I still can't get over that dime/penny merged coin.. I guess it's one of the first 11cent pieces , lol, Mike was the one who made that joke.

Good show over all. I believe it deserves a straight A since it was fair in price mostly and the dealers were generally friendly. Also was great seeing some fellow Coin Talk members.

One of the better shows here in SoCal for sure. Always good to see some of the forum members. Was on the hunt for Walking Liberty Halves this show as I'm working on a set of those. Did come home with one of them that I thought was pretty nice so it was well worth the trip :)

That's interesting. By reading the national news one would think that California was in full SHTF with homeless people crowding all the public parks and teachers starving.

Is the national news wrong or is it really true that coins are good financial investments?

Well, I read most of your reports and this show seemed a lot better than the Van Noys Show. Thanks for all the updates.
I saw a beautiful walker go by today.

I did too, she was pushing a carriage with her pride and joy in it.

I just returned home from the Buena Park show. All the dealers commented on how busy and active Saturday was - I've been setting up at this show for almost 10 years now, and Saturday had one of the largest crowds that show has seen. As Jay/BNB and Mike/Illini said, we all chatted for a little while and Jay showed me some really neat silver bars he bought. Jay seemed quite intrigued by the "11 cent" piece (penny struck on already struck dime) that I have in my case for show and tell (not for sale). It is an eye catcher, that's for sure! MrOrganic is getting his feet wet at being a dealer, so he was set up here too. I walked by his table and he sure has a lot of pretty little gold pieces.

I sold mostly some raw Indian and Lincoln XF material - that is always a very popular grade, even more so lately. I also bought a couple of beautiful toned Lincolns, a 1909 and 1909vdb PCGS MS65 BN for my own collection - can't wait to have Todd photograph these two so I can show them off. So for me, it was a very good show!
