    No, your not missing a thing. It looks like it was struck with dies that were abraded.

    What that coin has ,striation marks and the ear is missing a little from an over polished die I would say it's an error simular to the Kennedy missing initials on a 82 kennedy half which is an over polished die.

    Can't believe someone paid more than a penny for an over polished ear like this.

    Not that this legitimizes this goofy auction, but there is a 2006 DDO (1DO-008 to be specific) that has an over polished ear like this as a die marker.
