    Hey all,

Here's a one that I ran across in a transaction. Would it be something someone would collect? I may keep it, just for giggles. What do you all think (other than it's in rough shape)? It would be great for "liar's poker," that's for sure. LOL

Well it's a trinary note, so it may bring a small premium to the right collector. Still a pretty cool find. :thumb:

I'm ignorant on the ways of paper money still. What is a trinary note? BTW... here's the back. A bit off center top-to-bottom.

It's when only 3 different numbers are used in the serial number. So in your case 8, 5, and 9.

i think it means there are only 3 different numbers in the serial number. but i know little about bills also.

I've always been interested in serial numbers drives my wife crazy I don't let here spend any paper in her wallet until I've looked at the serial numbers first to bad the 9 wasn't a 5 or 8. It would have made it a little more interesting but still pretty cool.
