I've also posted this on the PCGS forum, bought this one at the recent Long Beach show from Tom Reynolds. Even my non-collector friends get a kick out of this one. Hope y'all like it!
Saw this in another forum. That's a striking double-profile the likes of which I've never seen before to the best of my recollection.
Capped Bust Halves sometimes have a strike doubled profile like this (although yours is far more severe than anything else I have seen). These doubled profile coins generaly garner significant premiums.
I have seen this before it is a great coin. I have seen this before it is a great coin. I know a guy that has one and it looks just like that.
It's so hard to believe it's machine doubling, since nothing else is doubled, but that's about the only way to describe it. :goofer: I have a 1795 LCC with a full doubled bust and I think it was double struck but hard to tell, due to condition but the doubling is obvious, however, it's not as severe as this one. :thumb: I likes! :eat: Ribbit
