Here is the Website: http://www.thecoinfest.com/page/page/4546119.htm I'm really looking forward to it, it will be my first EVER coin show. There is a little less then a month now, and I am very excited. I had originally planned to go all three days but plans have changed and now I will be going Saturday only...If you see me, say hello! I should be hard to miss....I will post my picture when it gets closer to the time. Can't Wait!
To far for me. I seldom go to large coin shows anymore. I've found over the years that the larger the show, the higher the prices of coins. May not always be true, but that is whay I've found at the ones I've gone to.
sticker: Do you CoinTalk? I will be at CoinFest probably Friday & Saturday. There is also The Westchester County Center Stamp, Coin & Paper Money Show 10/2/09, 10/3/09, 10/4/09, 11/27/09, and 11/28/09. I will probably have a sticker on my shirt which says: Do you CoinTalk? Very best regards, collect89
Everyone attending the show(s) should place a sticker on their name badge or shirt which says: Do you CoinTalk? In addition to introducing CT members to each other, it may introduce other coin folk to visit cointalk.org
Sounds like a good idea. I'll be there saturday, wearing the CT logo somewhere on my shirt, it would be cool to meet some other members. Btw if anyone's interested in CAC, according to the CoinFest website, on Saturday CAC will be there and sticker up to 20 coins for free. Could save you a good amount of money in submissions. Fun Stuff To Do! 2009 I think I'll bring a few Morgans just to see if they'll get a green bean .
I had a table and hotel reserved. Different circumstances forced me to cancel. I hear nothing but great stuff about this show, from highly reliable folks. I would be sure to put it on my to do list if I were local or close.
Been trying to go the last two years but something always blocked me [work]. I have some PCGS holdered stuff I would like a greenie on for sure. This year I'll really love to get free and go down there. I am up in the northeast "Quiet Corner" of the Quinnebaug Valley in Connecticut. Thinking of taking the train from New London into Stamford. Anybody ever take the train to the Coinfest?
I hope to see some of you there! I will have on not one but two, perhaps three nametags...kind of a running joke with my friends from another hobby, for a time I wore 5 name tags! And, with my somewhat unique looks....I should be hard to miss Collect89, where is that show in Westchester? I probably won't get there but I would like to know about it...anything's possible!
Going by google maps, both, the MTA Metro North and the Amtrak train stations are .4 miles from the hotel. I still haven't decided if I'm going to take the train or drive.
