I just tried to purchase the 2009 US Silver Proof Set from the US Mint and after entering my information it said that there was an error with checking-out (prior to entering credit card info). My address information was correct. Are they not selling these proof sets any more? Thanks...

I have had problems with their system before so it is not suprising... It was probably just an error as I looked at the website just now and they still show as readily available and have only been out for about a month or two and doubt they would pull them that quickly.
Give it another shot and if it happens again I would try calling them and placing an order.
Welcome to the forums by the way!

I just ran a purchase through my account Doobs and had no problem. Maybe you're not entering something correctly? BTW, welcome to the forum...:smile

That is the mint for ya. They always find a way to mess things up.

  7. Welcome to the forum! The 2009 Silver proof set was my first proof set, it was even more spectacular then I expected it to be, and I was happy that I decided to spend a little more to get the silvers. Here are my admittedly lousy pictures of it to whet your whistle, as they say...(who "they" are is debatable!)

They were taken in early morning direct sunlight. The white background you see is the hood of my Jeep.

I enjoy the silver sets also, well worth the extra money for the silver:cool:
