Went thru a box of 50 cent pieces, 20 rolls pennies, 20 rolls of nickels this weekend:

Went through a box of pennies and found the following

1 1929P one of the best finds in this box I think besides the professional life pennies

some foreign coin with some chick on the front from 1930
4 silver quarters 3 1964 1 1962
8 silver dimes :smile
$90 in halves nothing - im having no luck with halves - hopefully it will change when I get my 5 boxes of halves to go through:hail:

Picked up two rolls of dimes today -- got a really grungy 1944-S. Probably vg to f without all the grunge.

 

Searched a box of halves today......Nothing.

But, I won a door prize at my coin club.....unfortunately, the last door prize, so all that was left was a 1967 Kennedy. Gotta love door prizes! So, I didn't entirely strike out with silver today.

 

Went through 6 rolls of Halves:

1 '46 Walker

1 73S Proof

1 '05 P

No Kennedy Silver. Surprised but not complaining!

 

Anytime you get a Walker for face, it is all good! Congrats.

Those boxes are they same ones Loomis or brinks brings to the bank? I guess what I want to know is you don't have to get customer rolled halves quarters or dimes to find silver right? Does anyone ever find proofs in other coinage besides Halves. i have searched a ton of cent boxes and have never found one but only searched $250 in halves and found an 81S proof.(Gave it to my Nephew didn't want to start another series).

 

Stopped in my bank to get a box of pennys but no luck. I asked for any halves and the teller said yes but the teller who has them is on lunch. So I waited 20 min. and picked up 14.00 in loose halves. 2 64's, 1 63Franklin (FBL) and 7 40%ers. I'll wait 20 min. for that deal anytime!!!!

Did get a 66 cent out of some penny rolls probably 63-64 and as red as a stepdhilds hair

I've had pretty good luck finding silver & proof nickels from boxes.

 

I'm gonna break down and give it a try.

Went through two boxes of halves with no luck this time. Will try again in a few days or so. I noticed some of you are getting 3 or 4 boxes at a time. Which banks will let you order more than one box?
