His are good but if you get the Hobo nickel guide book off hobonickels.org you'll see other many talented artists out there too.. You should see the prices on some of these... $200-$1000+ I still can't believe I got away with paying under $50 for all of mine

I don't know the full story about the Hobo Nickels as I don't really collect them, but it's my understanding that the homeless at the time would take one of these Nickels and carve them into a mini piece of art which they would then use to trade for a meal, a place to sleep for the night or presumably anything they needed with a value of over the face value of five cents.
